What If Honey Could Tell You a Story?

Every bottle from Arkansas Meadery is a chapter written with local wildflower honey, pure water, and the patience of traditional mead-making — crafted right here in the heart of Arkansas.

Rooted in Arkansas Soil & Sweet Tradition

Arkansas Meadery was born from a simple belief: that the oldest fermented beverage in human history deserves a place on modern tables. We started in a small garage in Alexander with a single 5-gallon carboy and a lot of curiosity. Today, every batch is still hand-poured, taste-tested, and bottled right here in our home state.

Our honey comes from local apiaries within a 50-mile radius. Our water is drawn from Arkansas aquifers. Our process? Time-honored, unhurried, and deeply intentional — because great mead can't be rushed.

Crafted for Every Palate

From bold and dry to floral and sweet, each mead is a distinct expression of Arkansas terroir — no two bottles taste exactly alike.

Wild Arkansas blackberries folded into our base mead. Deep purple hue, jammy sweetness, and a whisper of oak.

Citrus Cider Mead

A lively fusion of honey, apple cider, and a hint of blood orange zest. Crisp, effervescent, and impossible to drink just one.

From Hive to Bottle

Four steps. Zero shortcuts. Every batch follows the same reverent path — because mead rewards patience.

01

Source the Honey

We partner with local beekeepers across Arkansas to select raw, unfiltered honey that captures the season's wildflower character.

02

Blend & Dilute

Honey meets spring water from local aquifers, blended to precise gravity targets. Some batches receive fruit, spices, or botanicals at this stage.

03

Ferment & Age

Yeast takes over. Primary fermentation lasts weeks; secondary aging ranges from three months to a year, depending on the mead's ambition.

04

Bottle & Share

Each bottle is hand-labeled, corked, and dated. We taste every batch before it leaves the cellar — if it doesn't move us, it doesn't reach you.

Come Taste the Difference

Our tasting room is open for walk-ins and group tours. Grab a flight, explore our cellar, and leave with a case or two — we don't blame you.
